Lumbar issue (97 850) 850 1997

So I finally had the chance to tinker (again) with my AC. I tried some spacers, didn't make a difference. I tried letting out some of the freon (by accident actually). Then I re-filled it, and the can actually got cold, so that's good...but no difference.

Then, out of frustration, I started whacking the lines going into the car, and badda bing badda boom, it started working. I'm guessing the switch there was stuck or something?

No clue. I just know it works now.
