ABS module Removal 2006 Volvo V50 non-turbo V50 2006

Dear KlausC,
I have been feeling guilty for not responding sooner.
Thanks for your rapid reply. It was very helpful, detailed and complete. Because of your good
advice I was able to repair the controller board, replace and restart the car. I will soon try to answer your questions and try to provide a good procedure for removal of the ABS Pump assembly for other V50 owners. It may take me awhile.

The youtube video that showed me how to repair the board, (hopefully it works) is below. I will supply the video Title and url. Commenters say that that the poster's method works!

"How to fix newer Volvo ABS module"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIhaL-Dxtog

The above video has sound but the poster says not a word. I watched it and said to my self, he says nothing and he does 'nothing' how can I believe that this will work. Then I read the viewer comments and decided to buy in. I look with a lupe and the pins that stick through the circuit board have straight narrow tips, but below where the pins pass through the board, they bifurcate so as to contact twice the metal ring they pass through!

I am grateful to you for your help for this and numerous prior volvo problems that I have had.

Mark Barron
