Instrument light dimmer switch doesn't work in the daylight S60

Why is it so complicated? LED instrument clusters that require back lighting to be seen in the daylight and probably too bright when it is cloudy.

As for automatic wipers... When they are used on a 'misty' day and you forget to turn them off when entering the garage, so that when you back out the rear wiper scrapes the dust on the rear window. Or it is below freezing out and ice forms over the sensor location and the dumb wipers scrape the heck out of the wiper blades when the rest of the window is clear.

The forward proximity sensors cannot handle ice/snow collecting on the bumpers, giving me a beeeeep when I slow down. The automatic distance control cannot handle ice/snow/rain - I know, I shouldn't use cruise control in inclement weather, but when driving from icy roads to clear pavement I really don't want to pull over to wipe the sensors off by hand.

Don't get me wrong, I love keyless! But after 10-15 years of no use, will the door locks still work with the key? And where am I supposed to put the bulky remote when wearing swim trunks? Not in any wet pocket!

Obviously, I also don't have a 'smart' phone and no desire to get one. If I'm not home, leave a message!!
