S80 vs XC70???

My beloved '98 V70 AWD bit the dust. Bad valves. Looking to replace w/an AWD car (Vermont winters...). I have been focusing on a later model XC70 (2012-2016), and it occurs to me that the S80 is a similar car. Don't need a wagon, necessarily. Looking at the T6 models, and the S80 seems to be less popular, therefore less expensive than the XC70. So, is there any reason NOT to buy an S80 rather than a similar year (trim, etc) XC70? Thank you
