S40 blew oil cap off S40-V40 2005

Still has coolant in it? The coolant hose routing in the manual transmission S40/V50 has a plastic tee that is prone to cracking after many years.

That's what happened in my S40 T5. That T broke, coolant quickly drained leaving the temp sensor dry (gage never showed the overheating condition). Driver went on until the engine was totally cooked, no compression. :-(
I didn't pull the head to see the damage.
