Check Engine: P1601 - P1603 - P0221 S70

Thx for the reply Klaus.

CEL in on again with now a rough idle and engines rpm goes up and down with 4 more additional DTCs stored. See below

Just in case, I disconnected the ETM connector and I cleaned it with contact cleaner but no changes.

I googled the problem and according to the symptoms, it seems that the ETM (electronic throttle module) could be the culprit.

It's the original unit with the white label on it, I never had problems with it until now and it has never been touched AFAIK.

My car is a 2000 model with 185K on the clock and according to the several posts that I've read, the ETM issue is well known with models produced in 1999, 2000 & 2001.

Now hunting for a used good one!

P1600: ETS malfunction. (electronic throttle system)
P1610: Ignition discharge module (IDM) Group D
P1620: ETS warning lamp output intermittent or erratic operation
P1651: Maximum torque exceeded fuel cut off triggered
