Starter replacement DIY? V70-XC70 2007

"Mechanics" only break things when they are in a hurry and not paying attention. Sure, the starter may need to be encouraged to free up with a hammer, but that is normal and not a big deal. At least you don't need to crawl under the car!

BTW, the turbo makes getting the air filter box just slightly harder to get off, and the hose at the throttle body must also be removed. Get a new air filter while you are at it.
