2004 V70 AWD 266K miles A/C V70-XC70 2004

95 degree temp, idle at airport waiting for passenger, A/C stops working. After a few minutes at 70mph on interstate, it starts working again. When it happened again a few days later, I used broomstick test on clutch to engage it.Installed aluminum shims on compressor clutch. Problem solved until traveling on 100 degree day, A/C stopped working again while idling at fuel stop. Checked shims, still in place. Again after few miles at 70mph, started working again. Should I use thicker shims, or is the clutch electromagnet getting weak & fails at elevated temps? Thanks for any help.
