Working on setting up OBD Fusion V70-XC70

I am looking forward to some of the on-line tech. comments on your problem. I think I may have a similar issue.
I took over my wife's 2003 XC70 several years ago and got her a newer XC90.
Around 142K miles on the 2003, the "Engines needs service" light started coming on,
on startup. If I don't cancel, it will go out in about a minute later.
The Volvo shop can find no other codes and resets it (?)... the message
comes back about a week later.
The car runs normal in all respects and I cannot detect anything to attribute it to. The car has run like that for the past 11 months and now has 148K miles on it.
