Duplicating a key V70-XC70 1999

Has anyone had experience with creating a duplicate key with the "V46.02 SBB Multi-Language SBB V46 Auto Tool Immobilizer Multi-brands" found on ebay? It claims to use the OBDII port to read the immobilizer code, and then (I guess) to program a blank key with included transponder, available separately on ebay. Or is this just wishful thinking on my part to avoid paying a dealer through the nose?

Our 99 V70 came with only one key.
