It is remarkable that there is such a short service life designed into such an expensive product. 50,000 miles is a little pessimistic but certainly by 200,000 'they' have decided it is time for you to buy a new car. And they don't seem to want you to pass on your old car to someone with a $2000 budget for a beater with a heater.
