CEL, rough running, 'reduce speed or shift up.' 125,000 miles V70-XC70 2008

Wife reported that her '08 V70 started running rough, CEL was on and the display read "reduce speed or shift up." It's obvious when idling in park and of course while driving. Searching online I've found several similar reports of misfire, coil, spark plug or injector in a specific cylinder.

None of the scanners I've tried communicate with the car, even a Volvo / Saab specific iCarsoft unit, so off to the local independent shop it went this morning.

The plugs and coils were replaced two years ago so we'll see what they find. Spending too much time under the hood or our cars so this one I farmed out. Once repaired we'll be looking for a replacement.

Erwin
