Do I have a gas gauge problem? V70-XC70

Well, it's Spring and I pulled the LH sending unit with the Low fuel light illuminated ad did observe nothing bent or damaged as well as no fuel in the plastic tank. Can't really say the float was overly saturated?

Added 6 gallons and now reads slightly under 1/2 tank! It might be psychological to replace the unit but there are other problems like vacuum leaks that need corrected.

I did find evidence of leaks at a distorted PTC grommet and turbo outlet PSI hose.
