New sending unit installed! V70-XC70

Words are cheap, use more of them.

So, you took the sending unit out of the tank, hopefully unplugging the fuel pump, put the key in posII, and moved the lever, by hand, to what should be the 'full' mark. The dash gauge says 3/4??

Sounds like something is bent at the stop position, or real dirty. My neighbor used to pour his left over gas/oil mix for his 2 cycle engines in the car's gas tank at the end of the season. The oil coated the sending unit and ruined it.

The sending unit has a rheostat in it. If that breaks or is damaged, it needs to be replaced.
