Keeping it, but new problems arising V70-XC70 1998

Have you lost the fobs or are they "broken". I have a 2000 V70 (P1 type) my fob was dodgy and found that one of the connections on the PCB switch, lock button, had come adrift. A dab of solder fixed it. Check the 4 connections on each of the 2 switches. Use a fresh battery.
