Crankshaft Sprocket misaligned? V70-XC70

I recently replaced my front crank seal and have been plagued with P0017, I figured I had made an error so went back to recheck and moved the exhaust camshaft about 1? tooth.

Since I had to replace the seal I removed the crank sprocket and I believed there are splines to prevent misalignment? I am ready to go back for another reset!

FYI there were no CEL's before the seal repair. I have searched many other sites for two weeks!

I know the intake and exhaust position sensors have the identical P/N so I am wondering if a bad position sensor could be possible? I am swapping them now.

Actually considering buying the special tools for camshaft and crankshaft alignment? I did use "Matthews Volvo" site for info.

What I know is that the Crank and Cam are sending incorrect info to the ECU.

Thanks for listening.
