Any suggestions on how to secure heat insulation by exhaust manifold? 850 2016

Hi,

In looking over the threads this morning I have realized hat I forgot to mention my thoughts on that heat shield when I first saw the new front wheel drive car from Volvo.
I think it may have been one of the first years of the 850.
This was a car that they said they were not interested in making because they were so into making rear wheel drive cars.
I surmised that they were lying, as it takes time to draw things up for proposals, let alone into production.

Yep, I was teasing the Volvo dealerships salesman on a whim of not having anything better to do with some excessive time on my hands.
I sniffed around until around until he slid out to the car, in really shiny shoes, to the car that had its hood up.
If You stand around long enough, they just cannot resist getting into your ears.

I got back at him by repeating what I had read about the stance of Volvo not liking the whole FWD idea.

I picked on that heat shield that supposedly is to protect the firewall.
I called that “aluminum pan” something that I would cook a turkey in.
It just look so cheap to me and so much of an “impromptu fix” against radiated heat absorption.
He gave up on me rather quickly and left me alone to mumble to myself. (:)

I mentioned this in case you need a new shield. Buy two, so it will be stronger when stacked with an air gap in between. (:-)
