stuck driver's seat belt V70-XC70

Same symptoms happened on our 2000 V70. Was told that the belt could be carefully rewound successfully, but that didn't work for me. A new driver's side seat belt and retractor (with "hazardous material" explosive charge) was ordered and installed.

I recall the warnings to follow the instruction sequence exactly; e.g., disconnect the battery before any disassembly. If instructions not followed, the supplemental restraint system (airbag) SRS warning light will trigger and can only be reset by the Volvo dealer.
