Oil leak repair gone bad! V70-XC70

I knew it would be tough one having to remove the Bevel drive to access the leaky turbo drain. Thinking I might just go ahead and reseal the turbo since it was "sludge motor"? However I was careful to support exhaust turbine and could not loosen the nut without breaking the shaft!

What are my options since I will need a new section 30650634, anything that might improve mileage and/or performance? And use the original housings?
Original part # TD04L-14T
