Headlight Idiot light issue 850

A while back I replaced the headlights in my car with LED bulbs, but they came with the adapter...

Fast forward to now, and my idiot light comes on whenever I turn on the headlights.

I thought it was the LED bulbs I put in the rear taillights, so I re-replaced them with OEM style bulbs. No change.

Since it's a 26 year old car, I figured maybe the wiring was bad (they were completely exposed) so I attempted to replace the plugs with new plugs (long story short, I couldn't and ended up buying new headlight assemblies since they were worn anyways).

Just finished installing them, with the LED bulbs, and the stupid idiot light still comes on.

I'm not looking forward to re-replacing the LED bulbs with the OEM bulbs I have (the set up is different with the aftermarket assembly, so it won't be as easy as stock).

So I was wondering if maybe there's something else I might be missing?

the idiot light ONLY comes on when I turn on the headlights, not when I turn on the driving lights.
