XC90 2008 Sway bar bushings. XC90 2008

I want to replace my sway bar bushings. Not the links, the two beefy bushings that wrap around the bar. Seems impossible to do without a huge project. The bolts in front are accessible the rear ones are too hard to reach without removing the subframe unless....... I thought about drilling holes in the floor just big enough to fit a 1/2" socket. Any one considered this?
