Wondering if there is something I can do to eliminate this?
I have a 2012 Volvo XC70 with now 315K miles on it.
Once I hit 250k miles on it I started to do oil analysis on it.
I use the Signature Series 5w30 Amsoil Product.
On the first go around I put 22,839 miles on the oil. I was swapping out the Mann Oil Filters every 6k miles and monitoring oil consumption as I go.
My fuel dilution was 2.5% - GC this time around.
On the second go around I put 25,798 miles on the oil. I was swapping out the Mann Oil Filters every 6k miles and this time during the span added a total of 2 gallons of oil to keep topped off.
My fuel dilution was <1 -GC this time.
On the third go around I put 22,333 miles on the oil. I was swapping out the LR oil filters every 4k miles and during this span of time added a total of 1 gallon of oil to keep topped off.
My fuel dilution was 2.2% - GC this time around.
So, with the above noted. Does this mean I have a problem with my T6 engine?
Am, I starting to have a fuel rail problem? Fuel Injector problem? or something else?
The Fuel Rail and Fuel Injectors are the original to the car since day 1 off the assembly line. Is this a maintenance item that should be addressed so many miles on these cars?
Curious to see what people think, have experienced with this, etc.
Overall, the car has been maintained regularly by me as I practically live in the car 6 days a week with all the driving I do.
Just last year did a complete new front end and rear end of the car. All fluids are monitored, tracked, changed when needed, even complete brake line flushing, and powe steering flushing as well.
The car gets me nearly 28 mpg which is rarely on the highway.
Let me know.
And for any of you that are interested in what I use in my car.
Here is my web address www.weareoil.com
Thanks
Bob
