I’ve only bought an extended warranty one time and it was on a low milage Dodge Dakota pickup. I can only imagine that purchasing a warranty on a higher mileage Volvo would be like buying a life insurance policy at 70 years old. You might try asking an independent Volvo repair shop if they have any opinion about which company is less likely to weasel out of paying a repair bill due to “certain clauses” in the contract.
