Interior Lights -- Wiring Harness V70-XC70

After spending some time working to resolve a CEL and then a burned out bulb in the center console, I payed close attention to the interior lights and realized that they seem to have a mind of their own. This includes not working at all sometimes.

I am beginning to think there must be a damaged wiring harness somewhere that is making the lights work randomly like this.

I wonder if there is a common place in these V70s where the harness tends to short out over time?
