Non Turbo fuel rating V70-XC70

Confirm N/A 260hp?

Our 2000 V70 Owner's Manual specifies 91 Octane for the B5244S engine; N/A, 168hp, 10.3:1 compression ratio.

Lower octane fuel burns hotter. Have researched that White Block valves (four valves per cylinder) are susceptible to burning/failure with prolonged use of lower octane.

Our V70 just passed through 304K miles using 91. Still runs strong.
