Unfreezing Windshield Wipers 850 1996

Every November, I switch to -40 degree Celcius/farenheit, and run winter wiper blades. The winter wiper blades do not prevent ice from forming on the cleaning edge, but do prevent ice build up on the cantilever mechanisms that allow the wiper to have pressure applied across the cleaning edge evenly. This combination has stood up to the coldest conditions, around -40 ambient.

As for wiper allignment, if you have an oe windshield, there should be one white dot on the windshield on each side of the windshield, down low, where the wipers sit. You should ALWAYS allign your wiper blades to rest at those white dots.

It's also a good idea to have a bottle of antifreeze in a spray bottle. I usually keep one in the back of my car on the coldest days of winter.
