boost question 850 1996

Glen, what about a manual boost controller, such as the Dawes Device? Are you familiar with this?
I have read their clains and it seems that the DD allows full adjustability of the boost level as it will bypass the ECU controls. There is also a claim of improvement in the spool up with the DD as it blocks the signal from the wastegate until it is needed, so the wastegate does not begin to leak exhaust pressure before you reach peak engine boost.
Any thoughts or comments? Thanks, Fred.
