Squeaky Hood Problem 850 1997

Didn't know I'd be considered a "kook" if I have an annoying squeak in my hood latches. Ken, I'm serious here. On both sides of my front hood where it latches on when you close the hood there is a squeak. It only squeaks when the hood is shut. And when I close any door whether hard or soft it causes a vibration that triggers this squeaking metal to metal sound. I assumed it was the metal latches when I noticed the paint has been removed and shiny metal now exists.I have been advised to adjust the latches left-right, up-down whatever by this forum. I'm glad this is all I have to complain about at this time on my volvo.
