Wheel size upgrade on a Cross Country V70-XC70 2000

I would like to find out if there are issues with upgrading the wheel size from the stock 15" wheels to a 17" on a 2000 V70XC. I understand there may be some issues with clearance on a full turning radius. I've found references on the internet that indicate stock 17" wheels from other Volvo models as well as most 17" wheels "can't" be used on XC's or AWD. Unfortunately I haven't found details that describe this as a clearance issue, or an issue with the AWD drive-train.
Thanks,
