Programming remote keyless entry V70-XC70 1999

I just picked up a remote on eBay. Scanning the archives, I see that there is a procedure for 1997 and earlier (Cycle Ignition 5 times and press one button.). I have also seen posts that say that 1998 cars can only be progarmmed with VST at the dealer, and that there is a different process for the 1999 and later cars. There is also a post that says that holding the lock and unlock buttons for 25 seconds worked on a 2000 S40.

Is there a way to program the '99 without going to the dealer?
