Check Engine Light V70-XC70 1998

My Car Code OBD-2 Scan Tool will read codes and reset the light for $122. I have not been able to clear a service interval reminder as yet. I am told a software fix is being worked on for MYs 96, 97, 98. Link is

If the Check Engine light is reappearing, perhaps a code is being regenerated. I guess what I'm trying to say is, check your engine. There really could be something wrong, probably emissions/fuel related. You don't know 'til you read the codes.

Battery disconnections seem to me overused, like Ctrl-Alt-Del cop out on computers. It doesn't really fix the problem.

Good Luck,
Happy New Year,
