Is 223 on A1 confirmation that the PNP is bad? 850 1994

PNP is bad yes..... but you can reset the code and sometime the PNP switch without replacing it could run for long time... Like Rick said it happend when thing get cold..

My happend 6 week ago car was run in limp mode very slow...
I buy a new PNP switch but never get around to replace it......
car run fine now no problem what so ever.....

So resest the code and see if your problem go away if did let it go..

if it come back than fix it..

Happy new year
