Single play CD changer in dash? 850 1992

I have a 1992 850 with a radio/tape unit. I emailed Alpine Electronic (UK) about this last year about hooking it up to a CD changer and got the folowing reply from their technical manager.

"I'm sorry to say that the CR-708 does NOT have CD Changer control.
The socket at the rear was for a single disc unit (used in certain markets
only), which is no longer available.
The only way (retaining the CR-708) is to use our CRM-1652RF kit (which is
supplied with the 620 changer). This uses an RF modulator, which produces a
signal on the FM band (like a radio station). It connects between the
aerial and receiver. This has its own small sized wired controller."
