Dealers are of no help!

Your trans should already have Volvos sythetic ATF and I wouldn't advise changing to anything else under warranty as that could "possibly" void your warranty if the "brand X" fluid was determined to have caused trans problems later on.

It's possible that your second problem "might" be due to a mis-adjusted upper engine mount as I've seen a similar situation before and a re-adjustment cured it. All that was done to re-adjust it was to loosen/re-tighten the upper mount as it was previously "pitched" too far in one direction thus caused a slight vibration noise that was barely detectable IMO.

Lastly, unfortunately not all "issues" with many of todays newer cars are 100% solveable by anyone. All dealer people can do is try by doing what they know, and/or what tech support people can suggest.
