Steve,

I have a '98 V70 AWD, and this problem just came up about two weeks ago. First, I noticed the recirculate/ac lights flashing, then I realized the automatic temperature control was not regulating the interior temp properly. The dealer checked it out and said it needs an ECT sensor, which apparently has something to do with regulating the temp. However, the lights flashing can mean other things so you will need to have the computer read. I hope this helps.
