Alarm Control Module Location ? 850 1997

I think the alarm control module is located under the dash on the passenger side. On my 1993 the factory alarm was added by the dealer, and is mounted on the outside wall, up under the lower panel. The factory alarm uses a different hood latch, and the car should be pre-wired for it. Look for a 2-wire connector near the hood latch on the driver's side. The alarm latch is probably available separately. I don't have the wiring diagram though, so I can't help with the wiring.

I would like to move the keyless entry/alarm from my 93 854 to my 96 855. Anybody know if the 93 alarm system is compatible with the 96 models? I know you have to press unlock twice to unlock the whole car on the 96, but the remote looks the same in the 96 owners manual (2 buttons, side by side).
