Replacing the gearstick knob...how? V70-XC70 1998

hum..well i will give it another go with a jerk, but hell i dont think that works. It is superbly attached to the stick, i really dont see how Ill get it of. It doesnt even buge a millimeter when i try to grab it upwards :-(
