OBDII S70 1998

Has anyone tried the scanner from www.obd-2.com? If so how well does it work? I received an e-mail from Alex Peper with obd-2.com that stated it would read all engine/tranny codes but would give a generic description for proprietary codes. I have learned that most CELs are related to ECU faults so I was wondering if and how it would read them. I would also like to reset my service light after I service my car, I don't like lining the dealer's pocket for something like that.
Also, does anyone know where I can buy a service manual such as Haynes or comparable?
