97 855 - Interior smell 850 1997

I'm not sure if it applies, but MANY _70's based on the same platform ran into the same problem. This is the first I've heard about an 850 having it. It is due to glue/adhesive used on interior panels, especially those like the leather portions on the doors, the carpetted portions in the trunk of wagons.

Do you have any idea where this smell is coming from? Maybe if you could narrow it down, you could get a better idea of where to look. Say it is coming from the HVAC, then you could rule out the glue/adhesive problem in the _70's.

BTW, the _70's have a no-charge TSB to replace said problem areas with parts that use glues/adhesives that do not emit the onion/garlic odour.
