ATTN: Sin

Hey Sin,

I just got my 6000K HID kit in the mail. It's different than yours in that it has a starter as well as a ballast, so mounting is going to be a little more difficult for me since I have two things to mount now. But the wiring is a lot longer so I have room to play with. Did you manage to get your pictures developed? I'm interested to see where you mounted your ballast, or did you do as Charles did? I'm finding a hard time finding a good spot to mount my stuff. Also, I got a little confused with your install. You said something that you soldered the old wiring together and you used the new one.
"At this point, I rewired the 9006 low beams by twisting the copper wires together, soldering, and heat shrinking. This is optional, but HIGHLY recommended. I'd hate to ruin HID bulbs just because of shitty stock wiring. BTW, don't bother working with it if you can. It is SO thin, and SO brittle, it's not worth handling. I reused the male quick disconnects, with the new wiring I purchased from UAP. "
What do you mean by that. You completely disregarded the old wiring? Where do you get your 12V from? Did you go straight to the battery or resused the old wiring?
Anyways, I'm hoping that I would get a better crack at it this weekend. But I doubt I can install until February.
