Key stuck in the ignition V70-XC70 1999

Has anyone ever had the problem with the key getting stuck in the ignition?

I was first told it was because there was a "nick" or "dent" in the key-done by the keymaker, then said no that was not the problem so go ahead and use the key.

The dealer ended up replacing the column lock and housing.

I never feel like I get much information from the dealership, but where I live I do not have much of a choice of where to go.
