trailer hitch and wiring for S80

Has any one put on a Volvo or After market hitch and or wiring kit.
I pull a small utility trailer about 10 times/ year. I'm very interested in knowing if anyone has used the volvo electical trailer kit and how you adapted it for an American 4 trailer conection, or if you put on a after market wiring kit such as the Draw tight modulite?
