Repainting my wagon 850 1995

had a minor fender bender when i hit a 93? ford probe, one with a smooth rear bumper. the headlight wiper motor was damaged and the hood a little bent up. it was an on ramp so i guess i caught it at a wrong angle (dump truck stopped all of a sudden on a greenlight, must've missed a gear or something). anyway, took it to the dealer and they were already swamped, so they recommended me down the street. the hood had to be bent back and repainted and wiper motor and wiper replaced and i think the radiator may have been replaced (not sure about that part). all within two days (tuesday accident and brought in, thurday ready as i had to pick up parents flying in). that cost about $1000 (out of own pocket). considering how fast it was done, and probably easier than a roof as u can "unmount" a hood, i was ok with it. they later buffed out some of the haze when i took it in two years later to have the left front fender painted for a 2 foot long scratch from i don't know who. insurance paid as a vandilism sort. anyway, it may cost a bit more for the roof cause it's probably harder to remove the paint from it first and repaint. or they could use some sort of masking b4 painting. not sure. the hood cost about $1000 and i'm can't say i can tell the difference between the rest of the car and the hood.
