Repainting my wagon 850 1997

Should be covered under your "comprehensive" insurance, less whatever deductible you specified. The "Nautic Blue" isn't a metallic, is it? Non metallics are actually pretty easy to match, it's the clear-coat metallics, particularly light silver that give the paint shops nightmares.

I would be inclined to avoid a full repaint. If you don't take all the glass out, trim off, and the door handles off, there will always be some overspray. I'm not sure I'd ever want to ask for a full blown glass-out repaint on something like a Volvo. It could easily exceed, not $5000 - but $15,000!!!! In any case, most high-end body shops have probably gotten good at extensive touch-up given the explosion of thugs who enjoy "keying" nicer cars.

If your Volvo dealer has a paint shop you might want to start there. Or you might want to ask your local Mercedes dealer who they use.
