215-40-16's 850

I know this has probably been asked but I have a 1995 850turbo sedan with the standard 5-spoke 16" rims, and I was wondering if anyone has tried a 215-40-16 (as the only other 215 tire offered is a 215-55-16, and I would rather go lower than higher). And how much would the 40 series tire throw off the speedometer, odometer, etc. A friend of mine's father has 225's on his '94 850t5 and they work fine (stock rims, and I heard that it took a little bit of work to get the tire on) A tire diameter program said that 215-40-16's were 1.22" smaller than the 205-50-16's. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
