Engines

The 5-cyl. gasoline engine that we will see in the US is a reworked version of the current 2.4l LPT engine found in the V70 2.4T, V70 XC, S60 AWD and the S60 2.4T. It is already a bit more powerful than last year's version and in the XC90 the displacement will increase to 2.5l, the HP from 197 to 208 and the torque will go all the way up to 236. So, it will be a pretty strong engine. Have you driven a BMW X5 with the 3.0l engine? The results are moderate.
