As Motor Trend pointed out a couple of years ago, a Honda Odyssey was as fast or faster than a 1956 Corvette. Stops better. Probably handles better, too. For 2002 I think it's up to 240 or 250 hp.

Interesting that perfomance that would be featured in "Route 66" and make you King of the stoplight Grand Prix in the 1950s makes you an ol' fuddy-duddy today.

BTW, is there some reason you are restricted to only one car? If not, I'd suggest the Oddy for the wife, and, oh, maybe a 1983 Porsche 911SC for you! Total cost is probably less than one V90XC, and it's more fun!
