Starter Motor - Average Longevity ?? 850 1995

My starter lasted until 92500 miles, then I had an independant auto electric place rebuild it. The did the whole job for $214.00. The dealer and another indy Foreign car repair shop were quoting over $500. This auto repair shop rebuilds starter and alternators for dealers and repair shops etc.
