changed mine at 210k mi, more 850 1995

mine went at about 210k miles, but the reason it died was that the copper braided ground wire that goes to the armature from the solenoid rusted thru. I could have replaced this on the cheap and hoped for some more miles, but I scraped my knuckles enough taking the bugger out that I figured I'd buy a new one and replace it just once. Dealer price with VCOA discount wasn't too horrible, a bit over 200 bucks if I recall correctly.

Do you worry about when your roof may start leaking as well? :-) Cars are mechanical...when they break you fix 'em! No sense worrying about how long each component lasts till they bust, IMHO

'94 855M 233k miles- original clutch! and I don't give a darn how long they're supposed to last. When it slips, I'll replace it!!
