4 kids what to do??? V70-XC70 1998

My parents recently purchased an Odyssey after owning 2 Dodge Grand Caravans and there is NO comparison. It handles quite well for a minivan (nothing like the barge feel of the Caravans they had- an 88 and a 96- or the Windstar I sometimes have to drive for work) and has plenty of nice smooth quiet reliable Honda Power to boot. (and the trick rear seat is way cool-especially after lugging the seats out of those Caravans in the past!)

But I'm mainly writing to comment about the wait for Odysseys. Though john k's experience and advice are good, the wait has decreased dramatically for the Odyssey in last month or so because they brought another production plant online. A single plant in Canada was turning out Odysseys and MDX's-just about the only 2 Honda models they couldn't make enough of. There is now another plant online in the US and formerly tight supplies of Odysseys and MDXs are becoming much more accessible. The poor economy has helped supply as well (lots of people are backing out or unable to close on ordered vehicles/wait list spots). Acura dealers went from 6 month waiting lists for the MDX around here to acutally having one or two sitting on the lot.

Maybe the rice rocket tuner market will have parts out for the Odyssey soon ;)
